Product Description

If you hate cleaning up after a barbecue like I do, especially if you have an old barbecue or maybe you have a new one that needs protecting, our grill mats are just what you need.

Whether you have a gas, charcoal or electric barbecue, grill mats ensure there is no mess and easy cleaning after your barbecue. Washing the mats is easy and fast, just use washing liquid and water or place in your dishwasher.

With Zasba grill mats, food tastes charcoal grilled and delicious without being burnt to a cinder. You will have no worries about food falling into the barbecue and giving off oily smoke. Whether you are grilling in your own yard or camping or having a picnic, our mats will make sure your barbecued food is clean, tidy and healthy, retaining all its nutrition. The mats do not retain any odor or taste, so every time, the food tastes fresh and delicious.

While thin, ours are still lightweight yet the strongest and the most durable, lasting a long time. They can be stored easily, just roll and tie up. Our mats are so versatile you can also use them for baking or lining ovenware. Bake cleanly and avoid a messy and grimy oven.

Don't be fooled by cheap imports that are not safe or long lasting, unlike our mats. We offer a 7 year warranty. Our mats are made of fiberglass fabric coated PTFE, or Teflon, used in non-stick pans and pots. They are heat resistant to 932F, more than enough for searing foods. Do not place directly in the fire or in charcoal. Ideally place over about 5" from grill grates.

I actually wanted to grill tonight and the only thing quick and different in the freezer was wings. I say different because of my idea for a rub and sauce. Using Ted Reader's book, I made up a Tandoori Rub that I cast-off in conjunction with a Tamarind BBQ sauce. I have had a jar of tamarind in the cupboard for ever that I have been dying to use. Tonight was the night. The sauce was wonderfully sweet and a little tart. It had a half cup of brown sugar and a cup of honey after all. The whiskey was an exciting experiment, and not all bad...although maybe a little over done. Thankfully, I have 3 cups of sauce left that I can't wait to use. Too bad none of that pork is left over! This grill here was a grant from a friend. The kind of gift that you find on the side of the road because someone either thought of it as trash, or upgraded to something that wasn't rusty and missing the wood portions of the handles. It persuaded is true that one persons trash is another persons treasure. However I have been eying up a new grate for the grill which has a hinge so that I can add additional coals for smoking foods. Then last night I obvious to grill some tofu on old rusty and found that tofu and an exceptionally rough surfaces do not mix. Well actually they get along really well in that Tofu sticks to the grill. So today I ordered that replacement grill. This photo shows what pushed me over the worm.

The Grill in Unconditional Flame
The Grill in Unconditional Flame
Getting a roaring conflagration going in the Weber on a beautiful summer night in NYC. A few months ago I received an email inviting me to sign up for a photo project/contest called 24 Clicks. The basis was this. 400 people were sent analog (ie real film) disposable cameras, and a list of 24 descriptive words. Take 24 photos that you felt interpreted these words in photogrphic organization. Then mail the camera into the people running the contest, and they would develop the photos and post them, alongside the corresponding word, on a contest site. The photos are unconcluded for voting. The words were things like "culture", "creativity", "get mean" and "Surprise and Awe". I shot these photos with the disposable camerain Toronto, Canada and Brooklyn, NY. I had a few issues with the disposable camera. There were 24 words on the register, but the camera had 27 exposures, and because of the way the film counter was constructed, I had a really difficult time telling what...
