Redesigned in 2013, the new Spirit E-310 LP gas grill is complete with all the essential features a griller could want in an affordable package. With the control panel conveniently moved to the front, two full-use stainless steel tables allow for food platters and prep. The grill's porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates combine the ease of porcelain enamel with the superior heat retention of cast iron. The grates require no seasoning and are easy to clean.
Providing plenty of space to grill up all those summertime--or year round--favorites, the unit offers a 32,000-BTU-per-hour input, and its total capacity consists of 529 square inches of cooking space (a 424-square-inch primary cooking area and a 105-square-inch warming rack).

Weber's burners are made of high-grade stainless steel, which will stand up to the small amounts of water found in liquid propane and natural gas. The innovative Flavorizer bar system, originally created by Weber, is designed perfectly to perform a variety of functions on the Spirit , Genesis, and Summit gas grills. Angled just right, the Flavorizer bars catch drippings that smoke and sizzle, adding flavor to your food. Any drippings not vaporized by the Flavorizer bars follow the slope of their unique angle and are funneled away from the burner tubes, down into the grease management system. Not only does this help prevent flare-ups inside your grill, but it also protects the burner tubes from becoming clogged.
Made of either porcelain enamel or stainless steel, Flavorizer bars are durable, long lasting, and easy to care for. Periodically brushing them clean with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush will help keep Flavorizer bars performing at their best.
When juices drip off the meat, they funnel down to the Flavorizer bars, and then what doesn't vaporize into wonderful smoke goes down into the grease management system. The grease management system consists of an angled grease tray and catch pan. The grease tray rests beneath the cookbox a safe distance from the burner tubes to prevent the grease from catching fire. Grease is channeled down the grease tray and into the catch pan. Both the grease tray and catch pan are easy to clean. The tray easily slides out of the cabinet for cleaning, and when the catch pan starts to fill, simply remove the disposable drip pan, toss it in the trash, and replace it with an empty pan.

Today was a big cooking day for me. At calling we rotate Friday's and everyone brings in a spread for the department, and this Friday is my week. Smoking meat has kind of become a thing of mine, and the non-violent weather we had this weekend made today a great day to smoke a shoulder that I'll bring in to share with my coworkers this Friday. My main piece of equipment is my Weber Q. I dearest this thing. When our house grill needed replacement I seriously considered replacing it with one of these (or it's big cousin, the 300). It's sturdy and reliable. I added the Weber griddle that fits quite right inside half the cooking surface, and that makes this thing pretty much a one-stop shop now. Because we use this so much, I didn't want to mess with the 1lb propane cylinders, so I use the hose to bind a 20lb propane cylinder. I originally got one of the folding stands for the grill - but it required some sort of proficiency in origami that drove me nuts (in the spirit of full disclosure, I do see Weber has redesigned their stand). So I built my own cope with that you can see pictured. The height is right, and I left enough space to set a tray for whatever I'm cooking - the folding wings that come with the grill are nearly useless. They'll cry for mercy under the weight of a half-eject beer, removing them was one of the best things I've done. Weber fans will note that the Q 200 didn't come with a thermometer. I ordered a replacement thermometer for the 300 series grill and drilled my own jail so I could add a thermometer to the grill so that I could keep a better eye on whats happening. Though the griddle on my Q has now assumed most duty, this little stove burner and cast iron pan (30+ years and current strong. ) still get regular duty through the year. I've also used the burner to boil pots of water and even a pot of oil for frying chicken wings. It's still beneficial to have around. Even though I've sworn off the 1lb cylinders for my grill, I do carry a couple - partially for emergency grill reserve and obviously for this burner. I find one cylinder typically gets me well through a season. I fancy myself a bbq aficionado, and yet I had a contentious beginning with smoking meat. I've now had all three (by fuel source) styles of smokers. I will never go with anything other than exciting (that's another post for another day), the ease of setting and consistency of temperature is what sets this apart. I don't keep the smoker on permanent station in my rig, but it manages to find it's way into my toy hauler garage with unreservedly a bit of regularity. Being electric means that my "off grid" race weekends necessitate the generators, but so far that hasn't been much of an issue, and the product has been (if I say so myself) pretty danged good. For good rational - I never use it. Well, ok, I used it once. I've used the stove top burners like maybe twice. Since we only camp in fair weather I just don't often fancy to cook inside. I've been known to "bake" on the grill and I've also stood under the awning in a downpour attending to dinner on many occasions. Source: TwoGuysCamping
